Project Frontline is the First of its Kind in Susquehanna Valley
MILTON, PA (February 4, 2019) – Recognizing a gap in local resources for veterans and active duty members of the military, The Salvation Army of Milton launched Project Frontline. The new program is aimed at helping service members and veterans experiencing a financial hardship.
“We are so grateful for our country’s bravest men and women. Through Project Frontline, The Salvation Army of Milton is offering a hand to those struggling to find their way after coming back home,” said Lt. Jennifer Burke, Corps Officer, The Salvation Army of Milton.
The first Friday in June has been celebrated by The Salvation Army since 1938 as “National Donut Day.”
You may have noticed the donut giveaways and the donut pictures on social media, but did you know that this delicious holiday has its origins in The Salvation Army’s work on the front lines of World War I in France?
