PHILADELPHIA (December 18, 2018) – The Salvation Army of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware’s Red Kettle fundraising campaign is in full swing across the region. However, with one week left until Christmas, kettle donations are falling significantly short – currently at about 40% below the overall targeted goal for the campaign.

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign is crucial to its ability to serve tens of thousands of struggling families across Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. The Salvation Army of Scranton’s Annual Dinner is an opportunity to recognize its volunteers, community partners and individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the betterment of the Scranton area. In doing so, the event raises funds and awareness of The Salvation Army’s local programs and services.
