New Grant Helps Scranton Salvation Army Increase Support to Families in Need of Furniture and Clothing

The Salvation Army of Scranton’s Social Services program is working to provide increased assistance to disadvantaged families in Lackawanna County. The program is an ongoing, vital service that has been offered to the community for many years. It focuses on the unique needs of individuals and offers holistic services and material resources to clientele.

Adoption Day: Austin and his Forever Family (photos & video)

IMG_2830On a Monday morning in April, the Guntz family gathered at the Montgomery County Courthouse for the final step in what has been years in the making – the adoption of little two-year old Austin.

“We love kids and we really want to give them a family that can give them the love and care to help them develop their potential,” said Susan Guntz.
