Project Frontline is the First of its Kind in Susquehanna Valley
MILTON, PA (February 4, 2019) – Recognizing a gap in local resources for veterans and active duty members of the military, The Salvation Army of Milton launched Project Frontline. The new program is aimed at helping service members and veterans experiencing a financial hardship.

CARLISLE, PA (January 29, 2019) — The Salvation Army of Carlisle wants the public to know it is open as a warming center for anyone who needs to get out of the frigid weather. When temperatures are 32 degrees or colder, The Salvation Army opens its doors from 8am until 9pm, offering hot coffee and snacks for free to members of the community. PHILADELPHIA (January 22, 2019) – The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) is working with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and partner agencies to provide support to residents displaced by a devastating fire overnight in the Germantown section of the city.
PHILADELPHIA (December 18, 2018) – The Salvation Army of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware’s Red Kettle fundraising campaign is in full swing across the region. However, with one week left until Christmas, kettle donations are falling significantly short – currently at about 40% below the overall targeted goal for the campaign.
PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 15, 2018) — As debris is cleared from roadways, The Salvation Army is moving into the areas most impacted by Hurricane Michael to begin assessing needs and providing service.
Six Salvation Army officers from the Eastern PA & DE division have deployed to Florida as part of the Hurricane Michael relief efforts. They departed Philadelphia International Airport on Monday morning for a 14-day assignment.
The Salvation Army of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware is the recipient of a $750,000 Department of Education grant from the State of Pennsylvania to support its Pathway of Hope initiative. The announcement was made at a press conference held at The Salvation Army of York on October 3, 2018. Rolled out in central Pennsylvania in 2015, Pathway of Hope focuses on the long-term goals of self-sufficiency of impoverished families, intended to break the cycle of crisis and intergenerational poverty. Families who are motivated and committed to taking the necessary steps to improve their lives, work with a Salvation Army case manager for social and spiritual support. They are also connected with services for jobs, health, housing, childcare, education and legal services.
