Lt. Colonels Ashcraft Appointed as Pendel Divisional Commanders

Ashcrafts, 2019The Salvation Army of Eastern Pennsylvania is proud to announce Lt. Colonels Janet and Larry Ashcraft as its new Divisional Leaders. The Ashcrafts take over the reins held by Lt. Colonels Stephen and Janet Banfield, who retired in the Spring of 2019.

The Ashcrafts are responsible for the administrative oversight for all personnel, financial and program components of 51 Salvation Army Corps Community Centers, 163 volunteer service centers, residential programs and The Salvation Army Camp Ladore Retreat and Conference Center. CARLISLE, PA (March 6, 2019) – The Salvation Army of Carlisle announced today registration is open for its fourth annual Most Amazing Race, which is set for Saturday, May 18 in Carlisle. This year’s theme is “Monopoly.” The event, which is made possible with the support of Sunrise Rotary Club and sponsored by M & T Bank and GIANT, was inspired by the CBS show “The Amazing Race” and sends teams of two all over Carlisle in an effort to win a grand prize of $1,000. Second place finishers take home $500 and third place wins $250.

READING, PA — The Salvation Army of Reading has been selected as a beneficiary of the GIANT Bags 4 My Cause Program for the month of March.

The GIANT Bags 4 My Cause Program, which launched in February 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities in which shoppers live and work. The program features the reusable Bags 4 My Cause bag with a special tag attached to it that allows customers to direct a donation to a non-profit of their choice upon purchase.
