The Soon-to-Be High School Grads Will be Honored at May 24 Awards Dinner
The Salvation Army of Lancaster will help 15 Lancaster County high school seniors further their education by awarding them college scholarships at a special dinner, 7 pm, Tuesday, May 24, at Eden Resort in Lancaster. The Olga Ruth Stratton Scholarship program provides at least $1,000 for tuition costs to each student selected. Amounts depend on a student’s need, circumstances and available scholarship funds.

One book, two communities,thousands inspired to make a difference
Hundreds of children and their parents hit the road to raise money for The Salvation Army of Norristown at the Maniac Magee Run for the Homeless! The sun was shining and Chatham Park Elementary was a sea of red t-shirts, as walkers and runners made their way through the neighborhoods surrounding the school for the one mile fun walk and two-mile run on Saturday, May 14.

The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia is partnering with Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia to provide valuable legal counsel, as well as prayer, for those in need. This new free legal aid clinic at The Salvation Army Temple Corps Community Center, located at 1340 Brown Street, marks the first such program through Christian Legal Clinics in North Philadelphia. The partnership kicks-off with a special Expungement Clinic on Saturday, May 14, 9 am – noon, at The Salvation Army Temple Corps Community Center.
